Apple CEO Cook visits Mar-a-Lago to meet with Trump, both have dinner together
According to the Associated Press and The New York Times, Apple (AAPL.O) CEO Tim Cook visited Mar-a-Lago in Florida on Friday (13th) to meet with President-elect Donald Trump and have dinner together. The New York Times reported that this was their first meeting since Trump won the US election.
The Associated Press stated that Cook has become the latest tech giant executive seeking contact with the president-elect, including others such as Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
The media outlet noted that during Trump's first term, relationships between Altman, Zuckerberg, Bezos and Trump were unpredictable. Therefore they are all currently trying to improve their standing in the eyes of the president-elect.
