Moscow Exchange is ready run trading cryptocurrency futures as soon as the relevant rules are created for this by the regulator. According to the Chairman of the Board of the Moscow Exchange Viktor Zhidkov, the platform is always looking for new opportunities and products for its clients.
He emphasized that at the moment kriptovalyuta raises many questions regarding the possibility of obtaining a stable and guaranteed income to the extent that the asset can generate cash flow. Therefore, trading such high-risk instruments or futures on it should be treated with caution, the head of the Moscow Exchange noted.
As soon as regulatory barriers in the legislation are removed, the Moscow Exchange will definitely consider the issue of cryptocurrency futures, because it is impossible to escape progress in the digital economy. In addition, as Viktor Zhidkov noted, the platform has always been one of the first to introduce new trading instruments.
Currently, there is no ban on the acquisition of digital currencies in Russia, but settlements in cryptocurrencies are prohibited. An exception is the experimental legal regime, which allows the use of cryptocurrency as a means of payment in foreign trade transactions. Within the framework of this regime, the first transactions in cryptocurrency may take place before the end of this year.
