Ripple's Chief Legal Officer: SEC Commissioner Seeking Reelection Is More Threatening on Crypto Than Gensler
According to a report, Ripple's Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty stated that it is agreed that SEC Commissioner Caroline Crenshaw is more challenging in the crypto field than SEC Chairman Gensler. This is because even after facing a court ruling that prevented a Bitcoin ETF, which was deemed "arbitrary and capricious," Gensler backed down while Caroline Crenshaw persisted in dissent, believing the court's ruling was incorrect. Earlier reports indicated that Caroline Crenshaw, a crypto skeptic, is seeking reappointment as a SEC commissioner, causing concerns within the industry about the possibility of her reappointment.
