Intel Corporation's leadership undergoes significant changes, CEO Patrick retires
Intel announced today that after a distinguished career of over 40 years, CEO Patrick P. Gelsinger has retired from the company and stepped down from the board, effective from December 1, 2024. Intel has appointed two senior executives David Zinsner and Michelle Johnston Holthaus as interim co-CEOs while the board is looking for a new CEO candidate. Frank Yary, independent chairman of Intel's board will serve as interim executive chairman during this transition period. The leadership structure of Intel Foundry remains unchanged. The board has established a committee to diligently and swiftly find a permanent successor to Patrick P. Gelsinger.
