Despite the apparent surge in user activity on the site, the platform has recently come under fire for live streaming, which memecoin creators have begun using to broadcast inappropriate activity, demanding viewers pay attention to their asset.
Following a flood of complaints about content moderation on Pump.fun, streams launched on the site in August 2024 have been disabled.
