Hashed and ShardLab Unveil NFT Ticketing at DAN24 Conference in South Korea
In order to include NFT-based ticketing technology, Hashed and its technological arm, ShardLab , have partnered with Naver Pay , one of the highest-used mobile payment services in South Korea.
Over 20,867 NFTs were issued and 8,849 transactions were processed during the two-day event, which was launched at Naver’s annual technology conference, DAN24 , with 6,000 attendees. This collaboration is one of the biggest NFT deployments for real-world and event-based utilities in South Korea.
These digital assets were easily integrated into the Naver Pay wallet during the event, allowing for prize entry, activity verification, and admission. For mainstream audiences, the integration of NFTs into an already-existing payment system that is used by millions of people is a compelling use case that bridges Web2 and Web3, and it offers proof of concept for more extensive applications in events, concerts, and large-scale activities.
The integration offers a user-friendly solution by using ShardLab’s proprietary NFT technology, which includes smart contracts and airdrop APIs. At the event, attendees could access their NFT tickets immediately inside their existing Naver Pay accounts, eliminating adoption obstacles in contrast to standard blockchain apps that need for separate wallets.
Simon Kim, CEO of Hashed stated:
“This collaboration with Naver Pay signifies a step forward in integrating Web3 technology into everyday digital experiences. With our technical advisory and collaboration-friendly approach with Web2 companies, we can focus and accelerate the development of user-friendly Web3 infrastructure.”
Attendees were provided with a proof of attendance and expedited authentication for a variety of conference activities by means of NFT-based tickets. This feature demonstrated how blockchain-based solutions may improve user experience without needing new tools or a great deal of technical expertise.
Mi-young Lee, Head of Pay Infrastructure and Business at Naver Pay stated:
“DAN24 marks our first step in bringing NFT technology to Naver Pay Wallet, following the growing trend of NFT adoption in major events, concerts, and ticketing. We will continue to work with leading Web3 companies to pioneer innovative digital experiences.”
Hojin Kim, CEO of ShardLab stated:
“We’re honored to provide this unique experience to DAN24 attendees. This collaboration demonstrates the technical maturity and practical potential that Web3 holds, redefining what is possible to achieve widespread adoption in the digital landscape.”
Naver Pay provides a strong infrastructure for scaling Web3 integrations, with 2.3 million users and $13 billion in quarterly transactions. Through the reliable ecosystem of Naver Pay, smooth Web3 experiences are made possible by the blockchain expertise brought by ShardLab, an R&D collaboration between Hashed and SCBX.
It is anticipated that the partnership between Hashed, ShardLab, and Naver Pay will grow into new use cases, facilitating the industry-wide adoption of blockchain technology.
