Cathie Wood: Bitcoin will reach $650,000 in 2030, and it is still a good investment now
Cathie Wood, CEO of ARK Invest, reiterated her bullish prediction for the price of Bitcoin in a recent interview and insisted that the company's forecast for 2030 remains unchanged despite market fluctuations. She stated that under normal circumstances, the value of Bitcoin is expected to be around $650,000 by 2030. In a bull market, it could range from $1 million to $1.5 million.
ARK Invest first introduced these Bitcoin price predictions in its 2023 Big Ideas report released in February of last year. Unlike earlier reports with a single prediction, the company presented three scenarios. Based on the most likely assumption, the "base case" predicts that Bitcoin will reach $682,800 by 2030, the "bear case" estimates the price at $258,500, and the "bull case" predicts that Bitcoin could rise to $1.48 million.
Wood emphasized that at the current price, Bitcoin remains a good investment, noting that her company was the first public asset management company to invest in Bitcoin at a price of $250 in 2015. Wood cited Bitcoin's historical performance during halving cycles, predicting that as inflation decreases and halving events reduce supply, Bitcoin will continue to rise.
