Ethereum Foundation launches Mekong, the first short-term Pectra testnet
Ethereum Foundation announced the launch of the first short-term Pectra testnet, Mekong, after going through a scope assessment of the Pectra fork, a successful interoperability event, and four development networks. The Mekong testnet includes all EIP proposals that will be used for the Ethereum Pectra fork. These changes include user experience (UX) improvements implemented through EIP-7702, changes to staking implemented through EIP-7251, and changes to deposit and withdrawal mechanisms implemented through EIP-6110/EIP-7002.
