French National Gaming Authority plans to block Polymarket’s access to the country
According to a report by The Big Whale, the French National Gaming Authority (ANJ) plans to block access to Polymarket within its borders. Despite using cryptocurrency for operations, Polymarket is still considered gambling activity and is illegal under French law. Currently, ANJ has stated that it is reviewing the platform's compliance and plans to restrict access in France through domain name blocking and other means.
