Nationwide exit poll in the US: 44% of voters have a positive view of Trump, Harris is at 48%
The preliminary results of the exit polls for the US election by Edison Research Company show that 71% of voters are white, an increase from 67% in the 2020 exit polls; 11% are black, down from 13% in 2020; and 12% are Hispanic, down from 13% in 2020. Fifty-seven percent of voters do not have a college degree, compared to fifty-nine percent in the exit poll of year 2020. Forty-five percent say their personal financial situation is worse than four years ago, while this proportion was twenty percent in the exit poll of year 2020. Thirty-nine percent believe most undocumented immigrants should be deported, while fifty-seven support allowing them to apply for legal status. Thirty-two percent think U.S.'s support for Israel is too strong; thirty-one think it's insufficient; another thirty-one consider it just right. Fifty-one trust Harris more on abortion issues and forty-four trust Trump more. On economic issues, fifty-one trust Trump more and forty-seven trust Harris more. Seventy-three perceive democracy as being threatened and twenty-five believe democracy is safe. Forty-four hold a positive view towards Trump which was at forty-six according to the exit poll data collected during year-2020 elections whereas forty-eight hold a positive view towards Harris with Biden having been viewed positively by fifty-two according to polling data collected during year-2020 elections.
