Zhang Wencai of the World Bank: The world economy seems to be in the final stage of a "soft landing"

Zhang Wencai, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of the World Bank Group, said at the Global Wealth Management Forum 2024 in Shanghai on October 27 that global economic growth is expected to remain stable this year and financial conditions have also improved somewhat. The world economy seems to be in the final stage of a "soft landing". According to the World Bank's latest estimates, global economic growth is expected to remain at 2.6% in 2024, and then increase slightly to an average of 2.7% in 2025 and 2026. At the same time, global inflation is expected to reach its lowest level in three years.
