Metaplanet uses BTC yield as a key performance indicator
Metaplanet, a Japanese listed investment company, announced that it will use "BTC yield" as a key performance indicator. This indicator was first introduced by MicroStrategy, a US listed company on the NASDAQ. The company believes that this indicator can supplement investors' understanding of the company's decision to fund the purchase of Bitcoin through the issuance of additional common shares or convertible instruments.
Metaplanet disclosed that from July 1, 2024 to September 30, 2024, the company's BTC yield was 41.7%. From October 1, 2024 to October 25, 2024, the company's BTC yield was 116.4%.
