Celestia announces Ginger upgrade

modular blockchain Celestia announced the launch of the Ginger upgrade. The official statement stated that this upgrade will be able to double the data availability throughput by halving the block time. The upgrade includes increasing the block size to 8 MB, introducing a validated signer blob type, versioning Gas schedulers and timeouts, transaction size limits, and PFB block limits. Ginger will be activated at Arabica height 2348907 (expected on November 5, 2024) and is expected to launch on the Mocha testnet in November and release a mainnet test version in December.
