21 October hashrate Bitcoin's hashrate, or the total computing power that secures the network, has reached a new all-time high of 769,8 EH/s.

According to the BitInfoCharts platform, starting in 2021 hashrate Bitcoin network is steadily increasing. Some experts attribute the growth of this indicator to the improvement of equipment for mining the flagship cryptocurrency.

Despite the fact that hashrate Bitcoin is an indicator that indicates the security of the network, it also means that the price of mining one BTC is constantly increasing. Because of this, the cost of mining Bitcoin has increased by more than 168%, as of the end of August. For comparison, at the beginning of September 2023, the cost of mining one coin reached $ 19, a year later the figure was $ 344 and continues to increase.

Such a rapid increase in the cost of mining is explained by several factors at once, in particular, the increase in electricity prices, operating costs, as well as the Bitcoin halving, due to which the difficulty of mining increased, and the reward for a block was halved.
