IMF: Global GDP growth rate is expected to be 3.2% in 2024
IMF predicts that the global GDP growth rate in 2024 will be 3.2%, unchanged from the prediction in July; it is expected to grow by 3.2% in 2025, which is lower than the 3.3% predicted in July. The economic downside risks include excessively tight monetary policies and soaring commodity prices due to escalating wars. Global economic growth will decline to 3.1% within the next five years, below the pre-pandemic trend.
