Trump surges to 62.6% lead over Harris after McDonald's visit
Former President Donald Trump has taken a commanding lead in the prediction markets, gaining 62.6% on Polymarket, while Vice President Kamala Harris trails with 37.5%.
This shift in odds follows Trump’s widely shared appearance at a McDonald’s in Feasterville-Trevose, Pennsylvania, where he donned the restaurant’s uniform and worked with the staff.
The visit was part of Trump’s ongoing effort to challenge Harris’s past claim of having worked at a McDonald’s during college, a statement he has frequently disputed.
The former president's playful dig at Harris quickly went viral, boosting his odds significantly on Polymarket and other prediction platforms.
Trump’s Polymarket lead extends across six key swing states, including Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona, Nevada, and Wisconsin.
Despite Harris holding an edge in the popular vote with a 63% prediction, Trump maintains a dominant position in the swing states, crucial for securing victory in the election.
In addition to Polymarket, other platforms have mirrored this shift in momentum.
On PredictIt, Trump leads with a 57% chance of winning, while Harris lags with 47%.
Similarly, Betohio.com gives Trump a 55.6% probability, edging out Harris’s 50%.
The McDonald’s appearance, which resonated with voters for its lighthearted and relatable nature, is seen as a strategic boost for Trump’s campaign.
With only 15 days remaining until Election Day, both candidates are intensifying their efforts, with Trump’s swing state dominance likely to shape the final outcome.
