Russian state fund forms partnership with crypto mining company BitRiver
the Russian sovereign wealth fund, the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), and the country's cryptocurrency mining company BitRiver announced at the BRICS Business Forum held in Moscow on October 18, 2024 that they will cooperate to build data centers in BRICS countries. BitRiver CEO Igor Runets stated that they will work with RDIF to create infrastructure based on cryptocurrency mining, build data centers, and connect corresponding computing power to deploy and implement artificial intelligence projects.
