Ripple CEO praises Brazil's cryptocurrency regulation situation, plans to use the local office as a hub for Latin American activities

In a ChainCatcher message, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse praised the cryptocurrency regulation situation in Brazil, one of the largest crypto markets in Latin America.

During an interview with Valor Economico, Garlinghouse highlighted the work done by Brazil's central bank to attract crypto companies to the country. "Brazil is one of the fastest-growing markets for adopting crypto assets and blockchain. The Brazilian Central Bank has been very constructive in terms of regulation, which has created opportunities." In addition, he hinted at turning Ripple's office in Sao Paulo into a hub for the company's activities throughout Latin America to support tokenization value as an opportunity for organizations in that region.

He concluded: "I see opportunities to explore blockchain for tokenizing real-world assets. I say this everywhere - in the United States, Brazil, Europe and around the world. It’s an opportunity to attract new investments."
