Ethereum Co-Founder Vitalik Buterin Sets Goal of 100,000 TPS for Ethereum in New Blog Post
In a recent blog post, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has set a target of achieving 100,000 transactions per second (tps) for Ethereum. This goal can be achieved through increased integration of Layer 2s, but standardization work needs to be done first. Buterin's blog post outlines what users can expect from 'The Surge', the next chapter in the protocol's Dencun upgrade, which will eventually enable Ethereum to process 100,000 tps. Despite this, some DeFi protocols are still disregarding regulations, according to Gavin Wood.
