Venture capitalists Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz donate $5 million to Trump PAC
Venture capitalists Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz, co-founders of venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, each donated $2.5 million to a super PAC supporting Donald Trump, according to the latest filings with the Federal Election Commission. The duo shocked Silicon Valley when they announced their support for Trump in July of this year, but it was not previously known which group aligned with Trump they were supporting. Andreessen also made an additional donation of $844,600 (federal limit) to Trump's campaign and the Republican Party. In October, Horowitz informed his company that he would also be making a "large" donation to Vice President Kamala Harris's campaign, even though he did not understand or support her policies. This donation has not yet appeared in federal filings.
