Avalanche to buy back 1.97 million AVAX tokens previously sold to LFG
On October 12th, the Avalanche Foundation announced that an agreement has been reached to repurchase all 1.97 million AVAX tokens sold to the LUNA Foundation (LFG) in April 2022, pending approval from the bankruptcy court. This ensures that LFG does not violate the original agreement on token usage and protects the tokens from the complexity of bankruptcy trustee liquidation, while returning the 1.97 million AVAX to the foundation's holders.
