Cryptocurrency-stealing Trojan infected 28,000 users, stole just $6,000
On October 10th, security company DoctorWeb reported that it detected malicious software disguised as legitimate software, such as office programs, game cheat programs, and online trading robots. This encryption hijacking and theft software infected over 28,000 users, mainly in Russia, but only obtained about $6,000 worth of cryptocurrency.
