Guangzhou court has concluded a case involving infringement of citizens' personal information related to virtual currencies. The defendant, Zhang, illegally obtained and sold more than 60,000 pieces of personal information and received illegal profits in virtual currency. The People's Court of Panyu District, Guangzhou City, sentenced the defendant to three years and three months in prison and a fine in the first instance. The Guangzhou Intermediate People's Court upheld the original judgment in the second instance.
