DIA launches Lumina to enhance Web3 data network infrastructure
DIA (CRYPTO:DIA), an open oracle network, has launched a new oracle system called Lumina aimed at enhancing the data infrastructure for Web3.
Lumina seeks to address current challenges in scalability and decentralisation, offering a more robust framework for decentralised applications (dapps).
In a recent announcement, DIA explained that Lumina integrates various modular components to gather, verify, process, and deliver data.
It uses DIA's Ethereum layer two (L2) rollup, known as Lasernet, to ensure decentralised operations.
The system employs zero-knowledge proofs for verifying data and securing node contributions, aiming for a more trustworthy and efficient network.
The rollout of Lumina will begin with a testnet phase, followed by a series of mainnet releases to gradually involve more users.
The new system is designed to overcome the limitations of existing oracles by incentivising nodes to securely collect and manage trade data from over 100 centralised and decentralised exchanges.
“Lumina represents the culmination of four years of work in Web3 infrastructure,” said Zygis Marazas, DIA’s product head.
“It sets the stage for a truly decentralised oracle network that enhances security and trust while being flexible enough to meet various needs,” Marazas added.
Lumina’s design supports customisable and transparent data feeds across multiple blockchains, using a decentralised messaging protocol to distribute data as needed.
This setup is expected to improve scalability and the reliability of data processing.
DIA's new approach aims to benefit a range of decentralised finance (DeFi) applications, providing a foundation that adapts to different requirements and ensures lasting trust in data sourcing.
At the time of reporting, the DIA price was $0.3551.
