Members of the Near team stated that the renaming of Near's Twitter account to "Scam" was a marketing tactic to promote a hackathon.
Previously reported on September 5th at 8:00 am, Near's official X account was hacked around 2:25 am this morning, and hackers posted a series of posts attacking the crypto ecosystem (some of which have not been deleted).
