Cryptocurrency sector lost more than $300 million in August due to attacks
According to BlockBeats, on September 1, according to Paidun monitoring, there were more than 10 hacker attacks in the cryptocurrency field in August, with a loss of about $313.86 million.
The two largest hacker attacks involved unauthorized transfers, accounting for 93.5% of the total stolen funds, totaling $293.4 million. The top five hacker incidents in August 2024:
· Phishing: $238 million (#BTC);
· Phishing: $55.4 million (#DAI);
· Ronin: $12 million (refunded);
· Unauthorized transfers: $5.1 million;
· Nexera: $1.83 million.
