Ubisoft Reveals Star Wars Outlaws PC requirements and specifications

Share link:In this post: Ubisoft, the developer of Star Wars Outlaws, revealed the PC game’s specifications and features ahead of its release. According to a June 11, 2023 announcement, the game is set for release on August 30. According to Ubisoft, RAM and GPU requirements increase for players who prefer the game on higher resolutions.

In a blog post, Ubisoft announced Star Wars Outlaws’ official PC features and specs. The developer outlined the device specifications for the minimum, recommended, enthusiast, and ultra presets. The announcement revealed multi-monitor setups, uncapped frame rates, and upscaling capabilities. 

According to Ubisoft, Star Wars Outlaws will be released in two weeks. Ubisoft revealed the system requirements for the upcoming open-world game on PC and the expected frame rates of different hardware configurations. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series players.

Ubisoft unveils Star Wars Outlaws system specifications and features 

Ubisoft announced in a blog post the specific system requirements for its upcoming Star Wars Outlaws PC game. 

Star Wars Outlaws developer Ubisoft had previously announced that the game would be released on August 30. However, Gold and Ultimate Edition owners can access the space opera starting on August 27.

The developer highlighted the Star Wars Outlaws PC features, including NVIDIA RTX dynamic illumination(RTXDI), to support better visuals even in shadows and reflections. Other features include NVIDIA DLSS 3.5 support, Intel XESS 1.3 and AMD FSR 3.0, and an uncapped frame rate.

Ubisoft revealed the game’s frame rate for the different configurations and the minimum requirements for the Star Wars outlaws when running it at 1080 pixels. Fans have commented that the minimum requirements seem manageable.

However, they have raised their concerns, stating that older gaming PCs may not handle the multi-planet game. The minimum specifications for the GPU were highlighted as GeForce GTX 1660 6GB, AMD RX 5600, or Intel Arc a750 8 GB (ReBAR ON). Gamers will require an Intel Core 7-8700 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 for the CPU.

According to Ubisoft, a Windows 10 or 11  Operating System is required for all scales. To achieve the game’s best performance, 16GB and 65 GB SSD storage will also be required.

Ubisoft outlines high and Ultra PC requirements for Star Wars Outlaws 

Ubisoft also revealed the specifications for players who want to run Star Wars Outlaws on 1080 pixels and a high upscale quality. The recommended system requirements are similar to the minimum scale requirements. 

However, the two scales vary in the GPU, where a GeForce RTX 8GB or an AMD RX 6700 XT 12GB will be required. The CPU specification for the recommended preset was revealed to be an Intel Core i5 or Ryzen 5 5600X.

Ubisoft also revealed similar device specifications for players who want to play the game on higher resolutions. For enthusiasts who prefer accessing the game on 1440 pixels, the GPU GeForce RTX 4070 will be necessary. The CPU requirements for the Enthusiast preset were also specified as Core i5-11600K.

Ubisoft highlighted that players who want to access the game at a 4K resolution with an ultra-preset quality will also require higher GPU and CPU power.

The GPU specs for the ultra mode were outlined as GeForce RTX 4080 16GB or AMD RX 7900 XTX 24GB. For better performance, gamers will require an  Intel Core i7-12700K or  AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D for the CPU.
