BREAKING: NYSE Withdraws Its Application for Bitcoin ETF Options
According to the latest information, NYSE exchange has withdrawn its application for options trading on Bitcoin Spot ETFs. CBOE made a similar move in the past days and made a move for options again by submitting an amended application shortly after.
The exchange had previously requested a rule change to allow these options to be listed on the Bitwise Bitcoin ETF and Grayscale Bitcoin ETF.
However, NYSE American withdrew the offer after the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) set a longer review period for the offer.
The move follows a series of similar pullbacks by other exchanges including MIAX, MIAX Pearl, and BOX Exchange. Earlier this year, the SEC approved several spot Bitcoin ETFs from major firms including BlackRock, Grayscale, and Fidelity.
