According to a report by CoinGecko, governments around the world collectively hold 471,380.6 BTC, worth approximately $32.7 billion, which accounts for 2.6% of the total circulating supply of Bitcoin. The United States is the largest holder of Bitcoin, with 213,297 BTC, worth around $14.82 billion. A significant portion of this comes from the seized dark web marketplace, Silk Road.
