EigenLayer Announces Upcoming AVS Rewards and EIGEN Programmatic Incentives
On 27 July, EigenLayer, the Ethernet repledging protocol, officially stated that it will soon launch AVS (Active Verification Service) rewards and EIGEN programmatic incentives.
- The Active Verification Service (AVS) will gain the ability to reward pledgers and operators.
- At least 4% of EIGEN's total supply will be allocated to pledgers and operators through the upcoming programmatic incentives.
- These incentives will be distributed through Reward Boosts, in which Pledgers and Operators will receive EIGEN in proportion to the number of incentives allocated to them by the AVS.
- Pledgers and Operators that support more AVSs will tend to receive more EIGEN Programmed Distribution.
- This incentive enhancement process is designed to jumpstart the incentive flywheel and enable price discovery, which can work even if the initial AVS incentives are low.
- In addition to the Programmatic Incentive Program, the Q2 Pledge Incentive will reward current Pledgers and Operators.
