Ripple CEO: Harris can reset US cryptocurrency regulation
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse shared his views on Vice President Kamala Harris and cryptocurrency policy on social media platform X on Wednesday. First, he warned that "drawing conclusions and assumptions about candidates purely based on political positions without any policy proposals is hindering the development of the cryptocurrency industry (similar to the practice of tribalism over the years)," he added: Vice President Harris is no stranger to Silicon Valley and has an incredible opportunity to realign key issues that affect America's competitiveness (such as cryptocurrency regulation). Garlinghouse pointed out that he remains open-minded, but warned that if Harris adopts Senator Elizabeth Warren's remarks, she may underestimate the political complexity involving figures such as Gary Gensler, chairman of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
