Ava Labs founder: I agree with Vitalik that political voting should not depend on candidates’ cryptocurrency stance
On July 18th, Ava Labs founder and CEO Emin Gün Sirer commented on Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin's latest statement "opposing political voting based on support for cryptocurrency." He said, "I agree with Vitalik's point of view: our choices must be based on principled reasons related to the candidate's personal freedom. To win elections, politicians may continue to change their surface support for cryptocurrency, but sooner or later they will return to their true inner selves. However, in addition to personal freedom and authoritarianism, there are more dimensions to principles." Earlier today, Cardano founder rebutted Vitalik's statement, saying that when cryptocurrency cannot stay away from politics, one should vote for the more supportive side.
