Founder of crypto advocacy platform PGP becomes new head of Coinbase Institute
Paul Brigner, the founder of the encryption advocacy platform Pretty Good Policy for Crypto (PGP), has announced that he has joined Coinbase as the head of Coinbase Institute. Brigner will work under the leadership of Coinbase's Chief Policy Officer Faryar Shirzad, while still leading some of PGP's business. Brigner has also joined the board of the Bootstrap project at Electric Coin Co, where he previously served as Vice President of Strategic Alliances and Head of Policy and Strategic Communications.
Coinbase Institute was established in May 2022 as a think tank that collaborates with scholars, legislators, and other leaders to expand research on cryptocurrencies.
