SBI Digital Markets Appoints Jai Yung Byun to Head Business Expansion in South Korea
SBI Digital Markets, the cryptocurrency division of Japanese securities and banking giant SBI Holdings, has appointed a former Korean bank official as its chief advisor to expand its business in Korea. The company announced on Wednesday the appointment of Jai Yung Byun, who has held multiple leadership positions at the Bank of Korea. He has led the central bank's international policy planning and foreign exchange analysis. Byun also served as the chief representative of the Korean Bank's Washington, D.C. office.
