According to Mark Joseph Stern, the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that President Trump has absolute immunity from criminal prosecution for all "official acts" while in office. The ruling passed 6-3, with three liberal justices dissenting. The U.S. Supreme Court's immunity ruling could further delay the trial of former U.S. President Donald Trump.
