Economist Peter Schiff issued a warning predicting a bleak outlook for Bitcoin (BTC) investors.

He noted that those who switched from gold ETFs to Bitcoin ETFs at the end of the first quarter are now 20% worse off.

Schiff emphasized that this trend could worsen, noting that while gold had gained 4% by the end of the second quarter, Bitcoin has fallen by over 15%.

#Gold closed Q2 with a 4% gain. # Bitcoin still has two more days left to trade, but as of now it's down over 15%. Investors who sold gold ETFs at the end of Q1 to buy Bitcoin ETFs are 20% worse off. The bad news for those investors is that it will likely get much worse from here.

Despite Schiff's pessimism, Lekker Capital's Quinn Thompson expressed optimism, predicting significant growth in the cryptocurrency market until the US presidential election in November.
