Investcorp and Securitize Partner to Develop Fund Tokenization Opportunities
Alternative asset management company Investcorp and Securitize signed a cooperation agreement to develop fund tokenization opportunities. The two companies will initially develop tokenized funds within Investcorp's Strategic Capital Group (ISCG), which manages $1.5 billion in assets and was established in 2019. ISCG specializes in acquiring minority stakes in alternative asset management companies (GP) and has established partnerships with mid-sized GPs in acquisition, secondary market, structured equity, private credit, and physical asset strategies. This partnership allows qualified investors to use GP's pledging strategy through Securitize's tokenization technology and expand channels into emerging private markets with the efficiency of blockchain. Investcorp has been an active participant in the cryptocurrency field before.
