Helium Mobile: Launches Licensing Program for Hotspot Devices

Odaily Planet Daily News: Helium Mobile announced that it is launching a licensing program for its hotspot devices. Helium Mobile's hotspots allow individuals or businesses to set up "mini cell towers," emit cell signals, and receive tokens in exchange. According to the Helium website, several third-party manufacturers and suppliers currently provide services for the Helium Internet of Things (IoT) network, but Helium Mobile is currently the only supplier offering cell signal coverage devices. Through the licensing program, Helium Mobile hopes to earn licensing fees from hotspots manufactured elsewhere while developing its cellular network. (blockworks)
