Matter Labs Announces Distribution Plan for ZK Token Airdrop Amid Trademark Controversy
Development firm Matter Labs has announced the distribution plan for its ZK token airdrop, which will begin next week. The airdrop will see 17.5% of the total token supply distributed, with just under 3.7 billion tokens going to users. The remaining tokens will be distributed to contributors to the ecosystem, including zkSync native projects, on-chain communities, and builders. Matter Labs previously faced criticism for attempting to trademark the term "ZK," but ultimately withdrew their application after community feedback.
