Maple Finance Launches Syrup Platform and Rewards Token for Institutional-Friendly Yield in DeFi
Maple Finance, an institutional crypto lending firm, has launched a new loans platform and rewards token called Syrup. The platform aims to bridge the gap between institutional-friendly yield-bearing digital assets and the world of decentralized finance (DeFi). Users can deposit Circle's USDC stablecoin into the platform to receive LP tokens (syrupUSDC) and additional yield in the form of "Drips," a loyalty payment derived from using the SYRUP rewards token. The platform promises users yields of 15% and operates with a focus on institutional quality yields sourced from fully collateralized loans to the largest institutions in the crypto space.
