OpenAI forms oversight board led by Sam Altman
On May 28th, OpenAI established a committee led by Sam Altman to evaluate the safety and security measures of its artificial intelligence models. This governance change occurred after executives responsible for the field resigned and the company disbanded its internal team a few weeks ago.
The new committee will spend 90 days evaluating the security measures of OpenAI's technology and then submit a report. After review by the entire board of directors, OpenAI will publicly share the adopted recommended updates in a manner that meets safety and security standards.
