Solana plans to release the full version of the Firedancer upgrade in 2025, after which a "lite version" will be launched
PANews reported on May 25 that according to Cointelegraph, Kuleen Nimkar, head of DePIN at the Solana Foundation, said that Solana plans to release the full version of the Firedancer upgrade in 2025 and launch a "lite version" before that. As network activity for the Decentralized Infrastructure Protocol (DePIN) continues to grow, this upgrade is designed to improve Solana’s overall reliability and scalability.
Previous news in October 2022, Solana co-creator Anatoly Yakovenko said that client Firedancer will be a long-term solution to solve Solana network outages.
