OpenAI Apologizes for "Unfair Clauses" Imposed on Former Employees
PANews reported on May 24 that OpenAI has updated its employee departure process and apologized to employees for the restrictions in the departure documents. Previously exposed documents showed that once departing employees signed a confidentiality agreement, they would be indefinitely prohibited from criticizing OpenAI. If they did not sign the agreement, they might have their equity revoked.
On May 14, it was reported that more details emerged after the disbandment of OpenAI's "Superalignment" team, concerning computing power and AGI safety.
