US Cryptocurrency Super PAC Has Raised Over $100 Million
External political organizations related to the cryptocurrency industry have raised over $102 million for the upcoming US congressional elections to support crypto-friendly candidates. The report states that about $54 million of the political war chest for the cryptocurrency industry comes from direct corporate spending, mainly from Coinbase (COIN.O), opens new tab, and Ripple Labs. The rest comes from cryptocurrency executives and venture capitalists: Andreessen Horowitz founders each contributed $11 million, cryptocurrency exchange Gemini founders Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss provided $5 million, and Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong contributed $1 million.
