Eigenlayer will introduce inter-subject forks at the launch of the EIGEN token
On April 30th, Eigenlayer released a white paper on GitHub describing an advanced overview of its main fork protocol V1. Eigenlayer will introduce a new secure economic system called fork between subjects, aimed at supplementing Ethereum's re-collateralization. Eigenlayer has two independent tokens, bEIGEN (supported by EIGEN) for staking and EIGEN for non-staking purposes such as DeFi. bEIGEN can be forked. Both bEIGEN and EIGEN are ERC20 contracts. Anyone can immediately exchange 1 bEIGEN for 1 EIGEN and vice versa. Only bEIGEN forks that currently support EIGEN will be considered for packaging and unpackaging. Eigenlayer will build V2 on top of V1, and in V3, it will implement the ability to resist malicious behavior by the United Nations Security Council. Before V1 is fully launched, there will be a whitelist process for subject-to-subject AVS, and all AVS listed on the whitelist will be run by all EIGEN stakeholders.
