Tether: Will freeze addresses related to sanctioned entities in Venezuela
A spokesperson for Tether stated that despite reports that Venezuela's state-owned oil company is using its stablecoin to bypass sanctions, the company is still committed to stopping transactions related to sanctioned entities by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). The spokesperson said, "Tether respects the OFAC SDN list and is committed to ensuring that sanctioned addresses are immediately frozen."
