Christie's First Bitcoin Ordinals Auction Nets Over $730K
Christie's, a leading art auction house, recently held its first-ever Bitcoin Ordinals online auction featuring four collections from the Ordinals Maxi Biz (OMB) series, which is renowned in the digital art market. The auction included limited edition works with a market cap of approximately $53.4 million. Although the prices fell short of expectations, the auction garnered substantial global interest from collectors and fetched a total sum of $730,800. The Red, Blue, Green, and Orange Eye OMB Set was a highlight of the auction, fetching $441,000.
