Ethereum lending market liquidation amount from April to now hits a new high since June 2022
Data from The Block shows that the amount of loan liquidations in the Ethereum lending market during the first two weeks of April was the highest since June 2022. Aave's liquidation amount was close to $80 million, while Compound's was close to $50 million.The last time there was a significant amount of liquidation was in June 2022, a month after the $40 billion Terra ecosystem collapsed.The recent market crash has intensified loan liquidations. According to Coinglass data, the total amount of cryptocurrency liquidations in the past three days has been close to $1.7 billion, with most of it being long positions.
