South China Morning Post reveals that Hong Kong Ethereum spot ETF is expected to be approved
After the Web3 Festival in Hong Kong, some insiders discussed the potential approval of Ethereum spot ETF. This is another type of cryptocurrency that licensed exchanges can offer in Hong Kong. If approved, it will make Hong Kong a pioneer in this field, as some Bitcoin ETF issuers in the United States predict that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission will reject Ethereum ETF applications. In addition, Livio Weng, CEO of HashKey Group, a licensed virtual asset trading platform, revealed that in addition to Bitcoin ETF, Ethereum ETF spot can be expected to land soon, especially if the on-chain pledge issue of Ethereum tokens can be solved. This will attract more large institutional investors to choose this "interest-bearing asset", which may be more attractive than Bitcoin spot ETF.
