On April 3rd, the Enforcement Division Director of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Grewal, gave a 15-minute in-depth discussion on the cryptocurrency industry at the "SEC Speech" event hosted by the Practicing Law Institute. Grewal stated, "In the past decade, the SEC has investigated serious violations in the cryptocurrency industry, as well as many creative attempts by market participants to avoid SEC jurisdiction, and the SEC is regulating through enforcement."
